Delete your Starforge account and data
This page explains how to have your Starforge account deleted, exactly what gets
erased, and what we are required to keep. It applies to the game
Starforge (com.starforgehorizons), published by Twisted Oak Games.
Deletion is permanent. Your ships, crew, research, inventory, currencies, and any items you bought are erased and cannot be restored. We cannot recover an account after it has been deleted, and purchases are not refunded by deleting your account (see Refunds).
If you only want to stop playing, you can simply uninstall the game and your data will sit untouched. You do not have to delete it.
How to request deletion
If your account has a real email address
- Send an email to lordtristgaming@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Starforge account.
- Send it from the email address the account is registered to. That is how we confirm the request is really yours.
- Say whether you want everything deleted, or only one specific ship (see Deleting one ship).
If you play as a guest
Guest accounts have no real email address on file, so we cannot verify you by email. Instead, email us from any address and include:
- your exact ship name as it appears in game (this is unique, so it identifies the account);
- roughly when you started playing;
- any purchase order number, if you have made a purchase.
We may ask one follow-up question about your account before deleting it. This is to stop someone else from deleting your progress, not to make it difficult.
How long it takes
- We acknowledge your request within 7 days.
- Your account is deactivated and can no longer be logged into immediately on verification.
- Data is erased from our live systems within 30 days.
- It disappears from encrypted backups within a further 90 days, as those backups age out on a rolling schedule.
What we delete
Everything below is permanently erased:
- your login credentials and email address;
- every ship on the account, including hull, room layout, crew, research, and inventory;
- all currencies and items, including any purchased with real money;
- battle history, campaign progress, achievements, daily tasks, and tutorial progress;
- fleet membership (you are removed from any fleet you belong to);
- the device identifiers and session records linked to your account.
What we keep, and why
We cannot erase everything, because some records exist for legal or safety reasons that outlive the account. Nothing in this list can be used to log in or to recover your game progress.
| Retained | Reason | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase and transaction records (product, amount, order id, date) | Tax, accounting, and refund obligations. We are legally required to keep these. | Up to 7 years |
| Chat messages you sent to other players | They form part of other players' conversations and abuse reports. Your ship name is replaced with a placeholder so the messages are no longer attributed to you. | Up to 12 months |
| Moderation records, if your account was actioned for abuse or cheating | To stop a banned account being recreated to evade enforcement. | Up to 24 months |
| Server logs containing IP addresses | Security and fraud investigation. These age out automatically and are not searchable by account after deletion. | Up to 90 days |
| Anonymous, aggregated statistics | Game balance. These contain no information that identifies you and cannot be traced back to your account. | Indefinitely |
Deleting one ship instead of the whole account
One Starforge login can own several ships. If you want to clear a single ship and keep the rest, say so in your email and name the ship. We will delete that ship and everything on it, and leave your login and other ships alone.
Refunds
Deleting your account is not a refund request, and the two are handled by different people. Purchases made through Google Play are refunded by Google, not by us. Request a refund through Google Play support before asking us to delete your account, because we cannot look up a deleted account to support your refund claim.
Other requests
You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct something that is wrong, using the same email address. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of your rights.
